Bryan is a proud Utah native. He received a Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal Communication and a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah. He began his career in therapy as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serving adolescents at Island View Residential Treatment Center. Bryan was the Co-founder and Clinical/Program Director of Pathways to Healing, a therapy clinic in Bountiful, Utah. He has also worked in private practice with adolescents and families where he treated clients with mood disorders, anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, trauma, and addiction. His approach is multi-faceted but grounded in a relational approach. Bryan’s foundational beliefs lie in establishing rapport and trust to help students and families regain their alignment. Students describe Bryan as genuine and fair, but firm. The gentlemen at WayPoint view him as an advocate who assists them in their journeys to health and well-being.
WayPoint is fortunate to have Bryan as a gifted clinician and a hands-on administrator. He utilizes his relational approach while overseeing multiple departments, and his leadership, commitment, and unwavering support are woven into the heart of WayPoint.
Bryan possesses an extensive administrative and operations background. He served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Franklin Covey for over 20 years. There, he led a team of talented professionals and together they developed strategies to provide the talent and human resources that contributed to the company’s success. Bryan also served as the Vice President of Human Resources for CallAssistant and Winder Farms.
In his free time, Bryan enjoys spending time with his family and running to stay fit.
Bryce was born in Virginia and raised in Utah. In his early twenties, Bryce enrolled in college where he received a degree in Business Management and Public Relations. Bryce has worked in various treatment programs including young children, adolescents programs and adult drug rehabs. Bryce is a father, husband, and aspiring entrepreneur. He enjoys the outdoors, being a handy man around the house and the office, all things technology, and spending time with family and friends.
Director of Business Development
Denise is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and has spent time living on both coasts. She studied laboratory technology at Biscayne Paramedical Institute/Barry University in Florida followed by completing a nursing program at Grossmont College in California. Denise began her career providing direct patient care in hospital settings working primarily with adolescents and young adults. She transitioned into a marketing role and shortly thereafter was recruited to Utah.
She worked as a regional director at one of the largest healthcare providers in the country and shifted her focus to business development and working with a variety of referral sources. Denise was a co-founder of a therapeutic boarding school and has held senior leadership positions in admissions, marketing, and program development for psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities, and wilderness therapy programs.
Denise is highly regarded for her integrity, her relational approach, and for her professionalism. Her commitment to provide outstanding customer service at every juncture is a top priority. Denise brings an unmatched breadth of knowledge, experience, and compassion to Waypoint Academy, with a personal appreciation for the needs of those in crisis.
Denise is a homebody at heart but loves to travel, enjoys gardening, golfing, mediation, and most of all, time with her husband and rescue lab, Bella. Denise and her husband remain active advocates for the Mitochondrial and Metabolic Disease Center (MMDC) at UCSD following the loss of their two sons.
